Important Buildings

Here are some of the different sets of buildings that may become part of your campus life:

Teaching Buildings 1-6 are across campus in the building across the pond from

the Administration Building.

2nd floor - Technical Assistance and supplies

Faculty of International Languages is building 8. Known as FIL, it holds the School of International Languages (SIL). This is close to the student dormitories. It is important to distinguish these buildings from the laboratories (Laboratory Building) which also are numbered from 1 onward and located to the left of the Teaching Building (as you come out of the front entrance).

8-203 English Department Offices

8-204 International Chinese Department Director’s office

8-406 Deputy Deans’ Offices – Andy Luo

8-404 Head of Foreign Teachers’ office

8-404 International Teachers’ Office / Work room

8-503 English Teaching Secretary’s Office

8-605 Technical Assistance Office

8-606 Resource Library (closed from 1:00-2:20 pm)

Administration Buildingis the tallest building on campus.

5th floor, Office of International Cooperation & Exchange (OICE)

NB: Closed from 12:00 – 2:20

Information Centeris the building between the Administration Building and Library

First floor – top up school e-cards

Arts Auditoriumis to the left of the Administration Building.

Libraryis to the right of the Information Center.

Laboratory Buildingis on the other side of the pond, opposite the library.

Print Center is on the first floor of Building 2 (2-105)

Staff/teachers’ cafeteria and Experimental Hotelare to the right of the Auditorium.

Student Activities’ buildingis in front of the Experimental Hotel and by the teachers’ cafeteria.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Park (IEP) and Modern Engineering Training Center (METC)are behind the Laboratory Buildings, in the south – west corner.

Numbering of rooms: Your classroom assignment, for example, will read “1-306” which means Teaching Building 1, Level 3, room 306 (3 designates which floor); or “IEP 1#408” which means IEP, the 4th Floor, Oral English Room 408.
